Fellow Members,

I’m delighted to be Captain for the coming year in Clane Golf Club. It’s truly an honour and many thanks to Padraic for asking me to be vice captain last year.

I’m excited and looking forward to continuing the great work done by Padraic . I’m delighted that Brian Conlon has agreed to come onboard as Vice Captain and looking forward to working with him to have another successful year for the club. Also best wishes to President Aidan as he continues his second year as president . Best wishes Brig Cuddihy Clane Ladies Captain for the coming year and l know we will work closely together.

I’m looking forward to a full year of golf both competitive and social. I urge members to support the committee and take an active role in progressing the club for the coming year.

Let’s get out there and enjoy the game of golf and hope you have an excellent experience both on and off the course.

President Aidan Donovan

Fellow members,

I am so proud and honoured to accept the role of President of our great golf club for the next two years. A big thank you to Jim Craughwell for asking me to add my name to a list of great men who have served this club throughout our history.

It is with great pride that I wish to dedicate this role to the memory of my dad Christopher, who served as Captain in 1966 and President in 2000.

I’d like to congratulate our Captain Padraic Rooney, and I hope he has a great year in 2022. We have all come through a very tough couple of years, but I pray that the next two and beyond will see better days ahead for all our members.

I would like to extend very best wishes to Captain Mary Courtney for 2022 and hope that the year ahead is a thoroughly enjoyable one for both the members of the Men’s and Ladies’ Clubs.

I wish you all good health. Go out there and enjoy yourselves.
